When I was young, I was homeless. As my family struggled with six figure debt, I grew up sleeping in cars and the back rooms of restaurants. That experience has been a pivotal part of my journey.
It's given me a genuine desire to connect deeply with others and understand their needs. It’s also helped me embrace the idea that the arcs of our lives are our own to shape.
The past few years, I’ve been working on complex open systems that push forward a composable DeFi future.
What drives me today is finding folks that value consistent action toward growth and that sense of ownership over life, tapping into that power to push the limits of what we can build and contribute together for our tribe.
I’ve learned to make extraordinary things happen by facing down things that scare me and taking bold action: I have taught improv classes with a New York Time's bestselling author. I’ve written (successful) love letters, deescalated gunpoint situations through effective communication, and designed products that have moved billions (yeah billions) of dollars.
I've even cut down cornstalk forests with only a machete, in between prayer, and built homes out of "caca de vaca" in southern monasteries where we survived months in the desert with nothing but good humor and grit.
I want my life to be as redemptive as the stories I read growing up, the ones that lifted me from the narcissism of my circumstances. And I think I’m well on my way.
Catch me outside:
I'm fond of moving fast and being in motion because it tames my thoughtful mind. I've recently won some bouldering and top-rope competitions. And I have a personal goal of competing in an Ironman Triathlon. If it involves walking, running, climbing... or moving, hmu!
